At first you need to enable Microsoft Edge repository from the command line on Ubuntu 20.04. Run the following commands at first before adding repository.

Install the update and the required dependencies at first.

sudo apt update
sudo apt install software-properties-common apt-transport-https wget

Now, import the GPG key

wget -q https://packages.microsoft.com/keys/microsoft.asc -O- | sudo apt-key add -

Now run the following command to enable repository of Microsoft Edge.

sudo add-apt-repository "deb [arch=amd64] https://packages.microsoft.com/repos/edge stable main"

Now you are good to go to install Microsoft Edge browser on Ubuntu 20.04

sudo apt install microsoft-edge-dev
