Ubuntu 22.04.1 LTS (Jammy Jellyfish) Is Now Available for Download

The first point release to Ubuntu 22.04 LTS is now available for download. Along with the first point release, Ubuntu 20.04 LTS (Focal Fossa) users are able to upgrade their installations to Ubuntu 22.04 LTS (Jammy Jellyfish) either automatically or as part of a scheduled update. Starting today, Ubuntu 20.04 LTS users will be notified that an upgrade to Ubuntu 22.04 LTS is available.

Ubuntu 22.04.1 LTS (Jammy Jellyfish) Is Now Available for Download

Ubuntu 22.04 LTS along with the official flavors such as Kubuntu, Xubuntu, Lubuntu, Ubuntu Studio, Ubuntu Budgie, Ubuntu MATE, as well as Ubuntu Kylin has been updated to version 22.04.1. Ubuntu 22.04.1 LTS contains bug fixes, app updates, performance tweaks, and security patches.

Some of the changes that you might see on Ubuntu 22.04.1 LTS:

  • Install media uses the new Ubuntu branding
  • Updated NVIDIA graphics drivers
  • LibreOffice point 7.3 point release
  • Latest GNOME Shell 42 point release
  • Resolve memory leak when taking screenshots
  • Network Manager 1.36
  • Ubuntu 22.04.1 LTS will default to Wayland on hybrid systems with NVIDIA graphics drivers
