uGet Download Manager is an open-source and lightweight download manager. It is cross-platform and available for Windows and Linux. uGet supports up to 16 simultaneous connections PER download.

XDM or Xtreme Download Manager is another popular Linux download manager. XDM has a built-in video converter tool that lets you convert downloaded videos to popular MP4 and MP3 formats.

It also increases the download speed by up to 500%. You can easily save and convert streaming videos from YouTube, Vimeo, Dailymotion, and other popular video streaming websites.

XDM supports Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox Quantum, Opera, Vivaldi, and many popular browsers.
