If you are a Linux user for long time then this news will definitely make you laugh. Previously known as a Windows Defender, Microsoft Defender is now available for Linux as ATP edition to Linux or non-Windows platforms.

Some users are suspecting this step from Microsoft as a part of the plan of them to buy Popular Linux operating system Ubuntu.

Last year, Microsoft released Windows Defender ATP for Mac devices and the first public preview for Linux operating systems was available since February this year.
