After downloading the Debian package (.dpkg) file, Go to the command terminal and use the dpkg package manager application to install the Debian package of Franz that you have downloaded from the website of the Franz.

sudo dpkg -i franz_5.7.0_amd64.deb

If you experience any error due to dependencies then run the following command to install it without any issue.

sudo apt install -f

Now, you can access Franz via the application finder in your Ubuntu. Before starting Facebook messenger, you need to create an account on Franz so that you can have access to the services of the Franz application and can add various social media services.

Login to the Franz application using your login details. After logging in, you can add your Facebook account and start using it by signing in with your Facebook login credentials.
