This Valentine Day, Ubuntu 18.04.02 LTS Will Be Out

It has been confirmed that Ubuntu 18.04.02 LTS is not coming on time as Canonical announced that the release date of  Ubuntu 18.04.2 LTS  will be delayed for a week, until February 14th. Due to the a boot error with the Linux kernel 4.18 Kernel, It has been postponed.

Initial launch date for the Ubuntu 18.04.02 LTS was Feb 7.

From the mailing list announcement:

Don't take this as an invitation to try to get all your pet bugs fixed
in the next few days, but if you've seen anything else in your testing
that would be critical to fix for boot/install, please esalate it NOW,
so we can address those in the same iteration and make sure 18.04.2 is
as shiny as can be.

Also, don't let this discourage you from testing things today, so bugs
can be fixed before next week. Only a select few packages will change
over the next few days, so this is a good approximation of the final.

... Adam

One of the interesting thing with this point release is that , Ubuntu 18.04.2 LTS will ship with Ubuntu 18.10’s kernel and graphics stacks.
